Non-Degree Postsecondary Self-Study
An institutional self-study in preparation for an on-site visit has been termed the centerpiece of the accreditation process. The Commission on Technical and Career Institutions requests that the staff and administration of an institution to be reviewed conduct an in-depth evaluation of every aspect of its operation. It is important to remember that the candor and openness of the self-study made available to the visiting committee represents the integrity of the institution and the capacity of the institution to conduct a wide ranging review of its capability to fulfill its announced mission in a collegial fashion. It is hoped that opportunities will arise through the accreditation process whereby institutional goals are raised and program quality is enhanced.
The Self-Study report comprises various questionnaires for each of the Standards of Membership, as well as any supporting documentation that is required.
E-mail the Commission office or phone 781-541-5415 to obtain the above questionnaires for completing the Self-Study.
Please also refer to Part II of the Non-Degree Postsecondary Accreditation Handbook, which contains Evaluation Procedures and other information to assist you in preparing for a decennial evaluation.
If you need further assistance with preparing the Self-Study, please feel free to contact the Director of the Commission.
