The Committee publication, Evaluation Procedures, sets forth in detail the various stages of the accreditation process. Schools seeking initial accreditation or continued accreditation must undergo a chronological sequence of events that lead to a final Board of Trustees decision (in the case of candidacy or initial accreditation) or a Committee decision (in the case of decennial review, five-year review, or a review at a specified date by the Committee).

The Process of Accreditation has various stages, as follows:

  1. Preliminary Stage
  2. Preparation for the Visit
  3. The Visit
  4. After the visit
